Protective Bubbles for Cars and Motorcycles

Many of you are interested in our car bubble, a high-quality inflatable protection available in indoor or outdoor versions. We have compiled the most common questions and our answers to help you make your purchase. Feel free to contact me for more information (Julian: [email protected]).

Q. What are the differences between indoor and outdoor bubbles?

A. Both are high quality and provide exceptional protection. They include a fan to quickly inflate the bubble and a filter to ensure the air entering is clean (no dust and reduced humidity to prevent corrosion and electrical damage). You can store your vehicle for long periods. Click on the images below to learn more about our two types of car bubbles.

Q. How much power does the fan use?

A. The fan uses 12V (no more than a computer - around $5 per month).

Q. Is the fan noisy?

A. I don’t have the exact decibel measurement, but from being nearby, it’s not very noisy. We’ve never received any complaints about this.

Q. Can I use the inflatable cover in extremely cold weather?

A. The bubble is resistant down to -10°C (14°F). Below this temperature, the material becomes brittle and may break in the wind.

Q. Should the car windows be open or closed inside the bubble?

A. Leave the windows slightly open (0.5 cm). If you have a convertible, the top should be up to prevent moisture from being trapped. This allows air to circulate throughout, keeping it dry and odor-free.

Q. How much space does the bubble take up?

A. Once inflated, the car bubble extends about 25-30 cm (10-12 inches) beyond the vehicle on all sides.

Q. What if my inflatable car cover has a hole?

A. The top part is made of 0.2 mm PVC. You can repair punctures using a transparent adhesive PVC patch. A repair kit can be purchased.

Q. What happens if there’s a power outage?

A. The cover deflates and becomes a regular car cover. When power is restored, it reinflates within minutes. Make sure the fan isn’t lying flat, as this can prevent the cover from reinflating properly.

Q. If the fan uses humid air from outside, how does the vehicle stay dry?

A. The bubble reduces some of the humidity. During long periods of high humidity, condensation may form inside the bubble. In such cases, we recommend adding a dehumidifier, especially for long-term storage. We’ve tested a Shinco electric dehumidifier (for 10m²) and are very satisfied. It includes a drainage hose for autonomous operation. For more details, check our blog article: how to keep your vehicle dry inside an inflatable car cover.

The fan renews the air volume 3-4 times per hour.

Q. Do I need to use a cover inside the car bubble?

A. You don’t need an additional cover, as this might block air circulation and trap moisture. Only a breathable and waterproof car cover is suitable.
